Key resources for keeping safe online

We take a collaborative approach to creating resources, working closely with community members to co-produce materials that effectively convey key messages about technology-facilitated abuse and healthy relationships.

After discussing technology-facilitated abuse in the U Right Sis? workshops, we facilitate group activities where community members talk about and listen to participants’ perspectives and insights.

Participants are prompted to reflect on the workshop content and identify the messages they most want to share with their community. This process empowers participants to take ownership of the key messages and ensures that the resources that are developed from these workshops resonate with the lived experiences and cultural context from their community.

U RIGHT SIS? resources for facilitators

The below resources have been developed to support Facilitators who are currently running the U Right Sis? Program. If you would like to use these resources or would like to know how you can run these workshops in your community, please contact us.  We acknowledge the importance of Facilitators being trained in how to use these resources and also the need to adapt content to the community in which people are working in.

Turn Up Respect campaign

The Turn Up Respect campaign encourages First Nations people to ‘Turn Up Respect’ and silence the disrespectful influence of powerful new social media influencers who are targeting young people and fuelling disrespect towards women and girls. U Right Sis? is celebrated in one of the Turn Up Respect campaign’s videos as an incredible family violence prevention initiative that is making a significant impact in First Nations communities, to inspire and give hope to others, in order to meet the ongoing challenges of disrespect towards women.
